Proud new owner!
Hey peeps! Im not exactly new to the site but i am new to this generation of trucks. Just got my hands on a 72 shortbed 4x4! Its really rough but the work will be worth it! Doesnt run and has LOTS of the usual rust. Now my quest to find a decent cab starts! Oh, and I hope the pics work, as i am new to this type of stuff!

Re: Proud new owner!
He calls that LOT of usual rust!
Don't mind me, I tend to pick on the southwestern guys and there vison of LOTS of rust! That looks like a pretty good starting point, and a SWB 4X4 is a pretty desirable truck top begin with. Welcome to the forums. |

Re: Proud new owner!
Very cool - now I want one of THOSE too.... I agree with LM - rust that buffs out, I'd pay for. Welcome aboard.

Re: Proud new owner!
I'm sure it does have rust... even some real rust.
We're just used to panels falling off up here. I saw a blazer at a members house last summer with rust holes in the HOOD. |

Re: Proud new owner!
Whew! I always wondered what happened to my old plow truck when I lived on the canadian border...
At least you can start out like the majority of us and get to learn your truck from the rust side out...

Well, that's one way to keep the plastic grill insert from getting the infamous hood release breakage...
