Re: 15X8's and 15X10's what backspacing
Check my build thread for quite a few photos, but the wheels I have are 8 and 10 with 4.5 backspacing on all 4 corners.

Re: 15X8's and 15X10's what backspacing
Isn't the 67-70 rear end narrower than the newer ones? I want to eventually put 10 wides on my 72 step but don't know if 4.5 backspace would stick out. It would only lowered about 3" so I want it to fill the fenders to the outside pretty much to the edge. Anybody have some advice?

I even tried to start a thread for rear wheel spacing...(e.g. Type of bed, which rearend, width of rim and backspacing) as there are a few variables but again they would just post backspacing with no mention of short or long rear.

Re: 15X8's and 15X10's what backspacing
Has anybody noticed this is an old thread brought back up? Did 1lowc10 ever get those wheels? Also it is my understanding that a 15" front wheel with that much backspacing will scrub on the control arm in the lowered position. Is that not the case?

4 1/2 " in the rear is max without rubbing problems

Re: 15X8's and 15X10's what backspacing
Typical truck ralleys are 15x8 w/4" back spacing.

Re: 15X8's and 15X10's what backspacing
So when I eventually get to measuring the wheels couldn't I just add 2 inches to the backspacing measurement as I like the offset I have and the new ones would be 2 inches wider? Because backspace adds to the back right? They sit right at the edge of the fenders now.
