Yellow wire on starter.

Where does the yellow wire go to on the starter and what is it for?

the wiring diagram shows that it goes from the other post on the solenoid to the coil. I guess for the points ignition system.

It gives the coil a full 12 volts during crank for a stronger spark during startup.Normally when the engine is running the coil gets its power from the other wire (white cloth covered) which is a resistor wire which only gives the coil arond 8 volts.It makes the ignition system parts last longer. and if you have converted to HEI, you can remove the wire all together.

The harness has the hei portion built into it but they put the yellow wire in there to. Just making sure.

Isn't there a place somewhere on these forums that have complete wiring diagrams/circuit designations for all years of C10's? If not, there sure should be. Who's in charge here anyway?

spoon, you can find links to the schematics in the electrical board, and in the FAQ board, and I would imagine a search too.
As far as who's in charge... the owner, josh, is in charge.
