Question truck wont start

everything is fine but for some reason the engine itself wont turn over, it was running 4-5 days ago and a couple days ago i tried to adjust the neutral safety switch but i couldnt get to the bolts and i got tired of trying so i tapped it with a hammer to move it so did i kill the switch or what???

Re: truck wont start

I would say you either killed it or knocked it out of alignment.

Re: truck wont start

You could try unplugging it and jumping it with a piece of wire. If it start you've found your culprit.

Re: truck wont start

try to move the shift lever while trying to start it. Even try in the neutral position that way you can go forward & backward to hit the
contacts. Then maybe you'll will be able to figure out what direction its out of adjustment?
