Help, where do you guys mount your EFI computers?

I've been working on adding a TBI EFI system from Howell on my 250 Inline 6 in my '72 K-20.............Anyhow, I haven't found a good place to put the computer. I don't see any areas large enough up under the dash to mount it, can't/don't want it outside on the fire wall, and since I use the truck for actual work, I don't really want to put it in the glove box as I actually have papers and misc. things in the glove box I use on the farm. Do any of you guys have a idea on where I could locate it? I am begining to think I'll have to put it in the glove box, but I really don't like the Idea of throwing a adjustable in there without thinking and it bouncing off the EFI computer

I have seen the computer mounted on the firewall (inside the cab) just behind the heater. The one that I am putting in my 68 has th brackets mounted just above the center hump.

I personaly have mine in the glove box. I don't use it for anything else though. How about taking the glove box out and mount it on the fire wall in front of it then reinstall the glove box.
Can you run it under the seat?

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thought about that too, but have some tools under there as well.

Does anyone know if I took the glove box insert out, would their be enough room above it to put the computer then re-install the insert? Then I could put the data link connector for the scan tool at the rear of the glove box out of sight?

I can't get to our parts trucks because of the snow to look and see if I'd have enough room to do this at the moment.

I don't think there is enough room. What about in front of it. Put it against the firewall above the heater box. All the way in the corner of the cab.

Re: Help, where do you guys mount your EFI computers?

I ended up building a bracket and putting it under the bottom of the glove box, you can't even see it unless you get on your knees with the door open and look up. Put a hole In the firewall above the heater box for the harness. Came out pretty slick, Only noticable difference is the Data link connector for the scan tool is slightly visable mounted on a bracket on the heater setup inside on the passengers side of the truck. And I still have a useable OEM glove box with no modifications!
