Gear Oil??
Hey guys,
Just wondering what type of gear oil to put in the rear of my 1990 suburban 2wd 1/2 ton. What brand and type are you all using. I know 90w is probably the way to go but just wanted to get some opinions here. Seems to be alot of choices out there as far as synthetics and so forth. Thank you.

Re: Gear Oil??
If your not going to be towing a bunch, just get some regular dino-sauce in the 80-90 flavor and dump it in. If your going to be pulling the synthetic can give you an extra margin of safety with a little cooler running. No towing with just street mileage I'm not sure the benifits of synthetic justify the added cost. Just get a quality brand and not the off brand stuff sold at Wally World.
