Steering Wheel Removal
Looking for some tricks on how to break loose a steering wheel from my 71.
Already tried: - Steering wheel puller - PB blaster - Pressure with a smack from a hammer Any ideas are welcomed as I will attempt them all until I succeed. Thank you, Mark |

Re: Steering Wheel Removal
did you try hitting the big screw that applies all the pressure?? i had to do that once or twice and it worked out fairly well. i would also soak the collumn shaft that the steering wheel fits on to for a bit longer. but i would definately try smacking the center screw of the steering wheel puller. get the screw to where you can't turn it anymore, smack the screw with a hammer, and it should come loose. lather, rinse, repeat till it comes off.
