New guy more questions
I will try to post some pictures tomorrow of both my Blazers. Edited by Moderator
Did the factory ever have a 2 tone paint option in 72? Were there factory roll bars, and if so did they have an option code and would it be on the plate in the glove box? Without a rollbar (which is where I mounted shoulder belts on my Red 72) where can I mount Shoulder belts? Are there threaded inserts for these behind the plugs in the top? If so, are they stout enough to trust? Thanks Last edited by krue; 02-29-2008 at 11:22 AM. |

Welcome to the board from Seattle!
As far as I know, there were no factory 2-tone paint jobs, unless you are counting the body and the top (tops came in white or black only). I believe the roll bars were dealer installed options, but I'm sure someone who has one will correct me if it's on their glove box. As for the seat belts, I probably wouldn't mount them to the threaded insert in the top. If you do roll, the top probably won't hold up, which would mean your belts would go loose. I think you'd be safer with just a lap belt in that situation. Even with a roll bar (factory style), it may not be sturdy enough to hold up. Many roll bars are considered "cosmetic" and not necessarily designed to offer protection (or at least the government won't let them claim they offer protection.)
