Att: C20 Owners with Rear Coils

Can anyone tell me what the differences are in the trailing arms from the Eaton and Dana60 rear differentials compared to the half tons? What I'm trying to do is find a trailing arm to fit the Corp 14 bolt rearend in my garage to my half ton truck and keep my coils. Thanks in advance for the help. Trukman1

Trailing arms

The 1/2 ton arms should be the same dimensions except for that 3/4 ton arms had extra bracing on top and bottom of the arms for the extra payloads.

There isn't any difference in the trailing arms Dana vs Corp rears. There could be a difference in the panhard bar. They could be different lengths, I don't know for sure.

Ok people are saying there isn't any difference in the arms... so here's my question. Aren't the axle tubes bigger on a dana 60 or Eaton rearends versus the 12 bolt???

If so how are these axles attached. (bigger u bolts would need different holes in the trailing arm) so are the axle tubes the same size and so the same ubolts or if not how is this done.

I am asking because on the trucks tv 2wd truck they are mounting a dana 60 on a trailing arm 68 truck and I saw nothing mentioned about needing special u bolts or new holes in the arms so I am wondering how this is done.

Thanks

I think they all have 3" tubes, 12 bolts, dana44's, Dana 60's, and Corp. I sold a set of trailing arms from a 72 C10 that went onto a 67 C20 with a Corp axle. They were a direct replacement.

They are all the same, with the exception of the reinforcing plates on the 3/4 tons arms. Doesn't matter corperate or Dana, 1/2 or 3/4 ton, they will all interchange. Where the difference is between the Dana 60 and the corperate is the length of the pan hard bar. The Dana 60 bar is longer than the Corperate. I just finished making this change of rear ends.... I swapped my Dana 60 from my 72 Burb into my 67 3/4 ton Chev truck. Then I took the Corperate rear out of the 67 and mounted it under my Burb.... Even the U-bolts are all the same.... Which insidently we sell and they are the true 3/4" ones and not the 5/8" ones that other companys sell........ WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
