Please note the ID number I found on the frame under where the drivers door would go I am hoping to get this home with the cab. and install an early 90's TBI motor I would welcome any sugestions on that project Thanks again here is the BEAST as she sits today

Re: 67 K/20 project
I have one of thos T221 transfercases and the 4 speed that was removed from a 67.. My truck is using the newer version 465 transmission and a 205 transfercase.
Very nice start to a project.. I take it the price was right??

Re: 67 K/20 project
Welcome from a fellow New Yorker!!!
Yes, for this neck of the woods it looks to be a solid truck to start with. Become a paying member here... it's worth it, since it looks like you will be needing lots of parts, this is the best place to find them. Good luck and keep us posted, oh and be sure to visit the 4x4 subforum here lots of good stuff in there too

Re: 67 K/20 project
First thing I`d do is get a coat of wax on that thing.Seriously,we`ll all look back at these pictures some day and say,"where it all began."
The`67 GMC in my signature is just a frame and parts, too.

Re: 67 K/20 project
OK now the $64000 questions
I need a tranny hump for the 465, T221 for my cab. also a nice set of doors... I cannot post it in the parts section does anyone know why? I am also interested in a good running 292. I was told It was the original plant in this truck. If not i will go with the 350 TBI set up any thing available reasonable? thankz\x

Re: 67 K/20 project
Glad to see you got it all home. Your right for upstate Ny that is a decent cab, the pass side looks a little rough, but otherwise alright.
No luck finding a 292?

Re: 67 K/20 project
small back window and a radio, all you really need to lay it on the ground, put a bucket where the seats supposed to be and make noises pretending your driving it, haha.
Looks like a great start, i wish you good luck sounds like a fun project.

Re: 67 K/20 project
YES that IS SNOW!!!!! and look what I had to park outside since the chassis and cab are 2 units right now...and the last is the 70 K5 not sure if im gonna get her decent enuff to use as a beater... and attach an old school plow on her for the driveway duties... Im hopin the 67 will be atleast a 5ft truck.... its my first total resto all myself... inc painting... Im an engineer so that makes me pretty anal on details.... Ill be happy when she is rot free and running this spring.... i say a 5 footer because i plan on using this beast as she was built for... I cant see the sense of a trailer queen.... tthis was a WORK truck
