I need help fuel cell guy's
I am going to put a fuel cell in my truck and was wandering what type and gallon size you guy's are running. I am going to get one with a sender in it. I have been looking at summit racing's 20 gallon aluminum one, but I have seen some pics of a few trucks on here with plastic tanks that fit very well. And no, I am not going to use a blazer/suburban/S-10 tank. Thank you in advance.

Re: I need help fuel cell guy's
I bought one from board member FuelCellGuy. It was aluminum, custom made for my truck, cost just under $400 and came with the sending unit and he allowed me to choose where the filler would be. Perfect fit. It's either a 16,18 or 20 gallon (I forget), and it does not hang low at all.

Re: I need help fuel cell guy's
here are the pics of mine - i roughed it in last night
it needs final adjustments and a lot of squareness and welding but you can get the idea. with the frame bottomed out there is currently 5.5" of clearence. the second bed mount will be notched to fit the cell. let me know if this is what you were looking for. |
