custom carpet bedliners?

my cousin is looking at a truck that has a VERY nice bed the stake holes are filled, is a steel floor, perfect, painted and then laid beautiful maple wood ontop of that. he plans you use the truck though and wondering about ways to protect the bed floor, wheel wells, rails. ect. the paint is $300 a gallon color changing paint... any ideas? I've got a nice beater bed in the drive it would be perfect for what he needs. Maybe we could trade?? I really can think of a good way to protect a wood floor bed if it's to be used for a working truck. It's really getting difficult to find nice beds and gates for these trucks. If your going to haul I would agree with HvyChevy454.
