1970 correct wheels / tires?

Hi all. Looking at a 70 CST / 10, 2 WD, currently has wrong wheels with looks like 4WD type wheel covers.

So, as I like the stock look, what would be the correct / best Rally Wheel size & tire. I like the look of the BFG Radial TA's.

Thanks.

Re: 1970 correct wheels / tires?

rally wheels were never available as an option on these trucks/neither were radial tires optional

so if you're wanting "correct" it's plain steel wheels with bias ply tires and dog dish hubcaps

That is almost correct.
If it has the option for full hub caps, they would look just like those, but with a blue bow tie in the center. The yellow bow tie is for 73 - 76 or so.
The comment on no rallys is 100% correct... not till 73.

Re: 1970 correct wheels / tires?

I don't understand the trend to make pickup trucks look like cars with full wheel covers. Part of the uniqueness of pickups where the small dog dish hubcaps. Only a few base model cars had them, but no car ever had painted dog dish hubcaps. It was a sad day in 1979 when new GM pickups dropped the painted version of the dog dish hubcap on standard models, a tradition that was around since the early 50's. Here is a 1970 with correct wheels and the chromed version of the dog dish hubcap.
