flip kit for 72GMC

hi all, I have a 72 GMC and am looking to lower the rear, from what I have found I thinka flip kit would be the way to go
its a DJM part # fk10125.
question is,will I have to notch the chassis?
and will this kit come with the pinion angle correct or will I have to play with it myself?

Re: flip kit for 72GMC

5-6 " drops usually would be best suited for a notch just so you never hear the axles smack the frame. DJM flips are generally built to where the owner/installer set the pinion angle themselves.
