wtb auto shift linkage need some info as well
I have a 72 truck with tilt and the trans is a metric style 350 turbo the linkage is not working right and binds. Is there a difference between tilt and non tilt linkage ? I have nothing to campare to as all my other trucks are standard. I just need quick idea of what if anything I can do to fix this also are the linkages the same for the 72 as say a 78 ? I do have a 78 parts truck that I could rob parts to make this go but I was hoping for someones expertise to save the day with a nugget of wisdom. thanks Mike If none of the aforementioned things will fix this I need a complete linkage setup to make this a functional truck again lmk mike

Mike,
Not really sure if theres a difference between tilt and non-tilt linkage but I recommend someone - check with board member (teeitup, a.k.a. Randy) he's also a site vendor. He should be able to answer your question and most likely has a good, used linkage for sale. Good Luck Harry

Transmission linkage is the same for tilt and non-tilt columns. After 72 the linkage was changed.
On the binding, I would make sure that the linkage on the tranny is upright. Here is a pic of the linkage that one of the board members posted which shows how the linkage is assembled.
