When you see a truck and its described as with warning lights, what does this specify? Sorry for the stupidity but i'm newer to these trucks. Thanks aton

I think it means emergency flashers, but don't quote me on that, that is just what i think

Sometimes their called idoit lights. By the time you see the light it's too late.

no.
There are 2 seperate type of insterment panels in these trucks.
the base model has a speedo, a fuel guage, and a few warning lights/dummy lights.
The optional inst panel, has the speedo, fuel, then under them, an oil pressure guage, amp guage, and temp guage.
The warning lights are supposed to take the place of the added guages. If the battery is not getting charged, a light comed on. If the oil pressure drops below a certian value, another light comes on, and if the engine gets hot, yet another light comes on.

Does anyone have a good wiring diagram that shows the idiot lights for the full guage cluster? It's gotta temp and oil light IIRC in the gas gauge. But, with the wiring diagrams I've got, it's near impossible to see what routes to them.

the only idiot light that gets hooked up in the optional inst panel is the brake light. The fuel guage is just a one p/n is cheaper than two kinda thing.
(this only aplies to 10 - 30 series trucks)

err, Brake and temp, that's right. It has lights to light them, and the printed circuit for the lights, but can't find where it all goes in the wiring diagram..
