my 6.0 shortbed build
Well heres my build thread finally and a little history on the truck,but first i have to thanks the creator of this board and all the great people on it esspecialy 68 short step who has been a great help since the beginning of my build.Heres the story on the truck and a little info on my setup.I bought the truck rolling with the motor in crate on ebay.The truck is awesome shape i couldnt ask for more it is a factory sierra grande ,factory 6cyl, automatic now for some info .
1. fatman fab stage five front end with shockwave that will be installed later coilover for now. 2.03 6.0l 4l80e and 317 cylider heads 23k miles on the motor 3.fuel injection specialist haness reflashed factory pcm. 4.tilt 5.tach and vacuum 6.cpp fuel cell 7.walbro fuel pump 8.ls1 longtubes 9.3 inch stainless magnaflow exhaust 10.all rear suspension is early classic Last edited by truckmanloco; 03-24-2008 at 09:32 AM. nice truck... does not look like it needed anything... good to see you went with an LS motor though... why not throw on some 5.3 heads and a nice TREX cam?

Wow that is a very clean truck and looks stock from the out side. I hope it has a stock tailgate and bumper so the ricer kids will know what just spanked them!

thanks for the compliments guys the truck does have a stock tailgate and bumper that the import kids will get used to seeing thats for sure.

pcmcobra, to answer your question i used a early classic tubular tranny crossmember that works awesome and you can mount it anywhere you want and they fit awesome.

agrv8d the truck has 317 casting cylinder heads but dont worry im not done ive got something else for it that is going to BOOST this things output thats for sure.

the wheels are stock 15x8 ralleys with 295/50s in the back and the same in the front, but im going to put a set of bonspeeds on it later on in the year. 22s in the rear and 20s for the front

hey guys thanks for the compliments on the truck i just got it started on saturday so im still getting things ironed out,but a burnout picture shouldnt be to far away.

just an update for you guys put some 22 and 20s on it today just to get a test fit these are not the wheels im going to be running.Im getting bonspeeds but there is a three week build time on them.

Its an early classic 6 inch drop spring, panhard bar, and shock relocator its all going to be for sale soon i doing and airride strongarm kit unless nathan from porterbuilt gets his rear dropmember kit done sooner.

A couple of updates, im in the middle the middle of chasing down an electrical gremlin and i got my radiator mounted on saturday.Still waiting on my driveshaft to get done, and also i am tacking up my headers so i can have them tig welded up and then the exhaust and shes done.Im still in the middle of deciding on which wheels i want, i think that the hardest choice ive had to make.Heres a picture of my radiator im stoked about how well it worked.
