fuel filler behind tailight question
Hello guys,
I am going to do an under the bed tank conversion and want to put the filler behind the tailight. To those of you that put the fuel filler behind the tailight, Did you use a filler neck from a donor vehicle? Did you make your own? Did you vent the tank right behind the brake light? Thanks, |

great question I'm wanting to do this to. I saw it done in one of the truck mags. but they never gave a step by step.

Re: fuel filler behind tailight question
Thanks Killer,
He told me that he cut the cap threaded end off a late model filler neck and welded it to a piece of exhaust pipe he had bent for the installation.Still not sure how i want to do the vent though.. |

Re: fuel filler behind tailight question
I used the filler off the S-10 that I got the fuel filler door from. The tank vented into the filler near the top.
This thread helped me a lot when I did mine. I did mine on a fleet, but most of the things in this thread still apply: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=77104 Here is Tennman's: http://www.classicheartbeat.com/mark...t_gas_door.htm
