master cylinder

Is there a install with pics on replacing master cylinder, bleeding etc. Parts are too cheap to pay for a bunch of labor.

Re: master cylinder

Buy the factory service manual. Sold by all the vendors. It has detailed, step by step instructions with pictures. Most all of the vendors sell them. I consider the manuals to be the best tool in my toolbox.

Re: master cylinder

Do yo have a power or non-power unit? I just changed my power unit (booster and all) this weekend and it was real easy. Four bolts, a jesus clip, one skinned nuckle, one blood blister, and 45 min later and it was done. I just bled it off of the prop valve for now, but as soon as I get some help, I'm going to bleed the whole system just to be sure.

Re: master cylinder

Always bench bleed a master cyl. If you do & havn't opened anything else, thats all you will have to do.
