Picked up a 71 long bed
I picked up this 71 Cheyenne for $600. It also came with a shortbed frame for $100 more. It originally had a 400 but was changed out for a 350. It has the high hump with heavy duty front and rear springs. It runs and drives but needs front brake pads. The fenders and doors have rust through and the rocker panels need replacing but the bed and tailgate are fairly straight. Look for a future project build.
Anybody know how many came with cab lights? Rare or not? Trans Am wheels? I've never seen these kind of wheel adapters.

Re: Picked up a 71 long bed
i was told once that no 1/2 ton trucks come with factory marker lamps (cab lights) but my K10 has them, and they are on the SPID so ive always thought it was kind of rare, nver seen another 1/2 ton with them.
3/4 and 1 tons had them more frequently, and i think all big trucks had them. |

Re: Picked up a 71 long bed
cab lights were merely an option on 1/2 and 3/4, standard on one ton or bigger. the ones who have a 69 up with the raised pods. rare, i don't think so, cool, yes.

I have a 70 and 71 with cab lights like that. Both 1/2 tons.

Re: Picked up a 71 long bed
I think the cab lights if not rare thay are uneak. I figured I can't loose for that price. The guy I bought it from was looking for a short bed and needed the money fast. I also told him to check out this website
Anybody know wow much a short bed frame sells for?
