door panel Q? will 69 fit 72

Will 69 door panels fit on a 72? My friend likes that style better and his need replacing anyways. . .

The window regulator and door handle hardware are longer on a '72.
So you'd have to change them out to run '67-71 door panels...

You will need to swap window regulators & door latch controls- the shafts that the handles go on are longer on a '72. '72 panels have push- pins around the edges, older trucks have screws. On the top edge, the sheetmetal screws are smaller than the push- pin holes, so the OE screws won't work. On the bottom edge, the OE machine screws went into nut inserts. So you might have to find different screws that will work. I'm doing just the opposite right now- putting '72 panels on '69 doors.

And I am doing the opposite by putting 69 panels on my 72. I just bought 69 doors with the panels and then bought the non 72 regulators. Havn't got it all together yet.
