GMC grille ideas. Need input please.

I have a 69 GMC and I have a real good grille on it from a 72. I am not a big fan of the 4 headlights but the 71 and 72 grilles with the black surround and center bar look the best to me. I am not going to do anything with that grille, but the original 69 grille I have has a dent in the center of it. Other than that is real nice also. I was thinking about cutting it and trying a tube grille or some other type of center piece. Does anyone have any pics or ideas?

I don't know if you know it or not, but you can change out the radiator support and grille for a '67 - 68 Chevy grill and still use your GMC fenders. That's what I'd do, but I must admit that I'm not a fan of the GMC frontend.

Can I use a 72 radiator support for a 67-68 hood. I have a 67 front clip with bad core suppoer and a good 72 core support

I think you can I don't think GMC's ever changes they just changes the latch piece thats why the crome piece changed front the metal piece that sat back farther. I plan on using my 71 on mine when I change it over to a 67 GMC front.

I may be on crack but this is what I have planned to do

No, the 69 - 72 radiator support is different. It locates the headlights higher than the 67 - 68.

I almost did that but you have to change the hood also. I actually bought a hood from a 68 Chevy to start the change but then I descided to leave it GMC. I don't hate it. I.m just toying with the idea of messing with that other grille since I have 2 of them. I should probably sell it because its actually pretty good compared to most I've seen.

It's a proven and documented fact that women prefer four headlights over two. Stick with it!
