The Maiden Voyage(with paint anyway)
Got the truck out for the first drive since it got the new paint late last year, enough rain the road salt should be gone. Me, my grandson and my son went for a drive....this is what its all about!!

You'll be glad you took that picture in later years. Those late model wheels look good on the 4wd models.....like the color too.

Lookin good!
 I was thinking the same thing for the stripe replacing the aluminum trim. Did you use vinyl or have the body shop paint it under the clear?

Thanks for the compliments guys, this truck build was started about 4-5 years ago as a way to spend some time with my youngest son you see in the picture there, before he gradutes high school this spring. We got to spend some quality time together disguised as work on the truck!!! Lots of good memories, and my oldest son brought us a new truck nut to hang out with us!!

That is one good looking vehicle. Looks like it came off the showroom.
btw: Is that silo? leaning too much, or is that an opticlal illusion.. Looks like a fxrd truck backed into it and messed it up for you..

That was the plan with the stripe, to look like original trim and break up all that orange.
Randy...it has been 4 years since we came and got that cab and box, and yes he has grown alot...taller than me, but that doesn't take much!!! The silo does not lean, just an illusion. that old Ford is my latest addition, 78 1ton dually with dump, I have a small slab wood delivery business/hobby...3 old 1 tons all 3 together worth about $1600 but its something to do in the winter!! Its hard to see, but there is a deer skull and rib cage hanging on the ladder of that silo, found laying in a field last spring, waiting for the last little bit of hide to fall off so I can hang it in the shop. |
