I seen that pic before, I though it was mesh but pics are dark. I think I like the black mesh instead of stainless or chrome to let the rings stand out on their own.

I would use Krylon Fusion for Plastic. Or any plastic specific paint.

I have never been a big fan of the billet grill look but the one in the lmc link looks real good. The best I have ever seen actually. I think I must have one. Thanks for the link and this post.
