I need help with correct mirror placement - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I bought some of those stock rectangular mirrors and I am not sure of where exactly to put them in my 72. I put them in the groove between the top crease of the door and it works good on the drivers side, but the passenger side it is a bit low and hard to see out of, Does anybody have the same problem ? they look nice on the outside, but the passenger side is just not really functional as I would like.
