got some work done on the 71 today hopely motor will go back in tomorrow found some reall b ad rust damage to the front radiator support but not enought to worry about right now seeing i have to have the truck running by sunday. truck also sits about 4 inchs higher with no engine in it

Nice work! Is your rust damage underneath the battery side? I discovered a sizeable amount of rust on my rad support below the battery on my 71, as well. It's always something...

some more pictures of work today ran the old engine codes and found thats its not a 307 but a 327 out of a 67 3903352....327.....67....2bolt main which explanes the vent tube on the back of the motor had the fly wheel turned since it was burned bad

let me know how you like the 305 after you finish installing it. Im also puting a 305 in my 71, a wanna know what it can do befor i actually drop it between the frame rails. oh and what year is the 305 your dropping in?

its from a 78 c-10 its bored 30 over new crank redid the heads only thing i reused was the rods. lockdoc i plan to save the 327 and build it to put back into the truck

i hope to have it running tomorrow night as long as nothing else goes wrong. plans for the 327 are dissemble, clean and inspect, bore at least 30-40 over depending ons going on inside, good cam and carb, have the heads reworked put it back into the truck
