Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
We managed to make the drive up to Pigeon Forge for the Rod Run and I thought I would share some of the pics with you guys.
Pretty sweet! Low enough for ya? These super wide huge diameter rims are giving a lot of pro street cars another chance at the spotlight! 30" rims on the Lincoln are just insane! At least it wasn't four feet off the ground! |

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
This truck used to belong to board member 72BBCTRUCK. I think he got a bit emotional when I sent him a pic of it through my phone.
Trazer alert! Mkay............... Rockin the streets! Long low and smooth! Tag says it all doesn't it. |

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
It seems like these Coys are everywhere! More 67-72 action! Alright! The first one of ya that makes a crude remark about the reflection in this pic get's it pulled and ruins it for everyone else!! No seriously! Sweet. Look closer. I liked it. That's it for now! I'll post up a handful of tinted pics later, so be sure and check back. I hope you guys like em! |

What a picture Asa! By the way do you have any info on those dually fenders? That is the best looking 67-72 dually I have seen.

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
That would be me.
I don't have any info on the dually fenders, I just snapped the pic. I didn't even look to see if they were steel or glass. I swear I didn't know that reflection was in that pic until I got home! Tim, With as much engine as that camaro had poking through the hood, and with the kinda noise he was making, combined with the racing fuel I smelled him burning, and the full cage, I'd definitly have to call that car Pro Street! (that was a heck of a run on sentence wasn't it). It seems like most of the cars that I've seen that were built as pro touring were considerably lower to the ground and had wider wheels on the front as well. I guess it's hard to put a label on these things but I tell ya, that boy was making some laps up and down the strip making some noise! Last edited by see ten; 04-21-2008 at 02:47 PM. |

I have a soft spot for`61 Bubbletops.And,your pictures.
I don`t consider that Camaro Pro-Street,though.It`s another wheel/tire approach to pro-tour in my mind. It`s more stylized than a mimmick of a track car.

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
Great pics, Asa! I love that first red stepside. Quick question. In the second pic it looks like the step fender markers are shaved, but you can almost still see the outline of it or something. Is it an illusion or what?

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
The red stepside did have a raised area where the markers used to be. I really don't know what they had going there but overall it was a sweet pickup.

Re: Sat pics (4-19) Day at the Rod Run!
Somehow I overlooked this jewel when I was posting pics last night. I don't think I've ever heard so many people just blatantly express their dislike of a vehicle while the owner was standing there.
