Original 2wd @ Carlisle
Jerry Brown (Truck Shop/Crossville,TN) has this documented low mile original (bought from original owner) for sale at Carlisle this weekend. It`s the real deal...
Too bad that tourist had to get in the picture!

Looks good. Is the door a different shade than the rest?

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
It does look that way,at least in the picture. It looks like the fender could be light. It could just be a slight difference in angle or what it`s reflecting.I won`t say it`s 100% untouched original. But it`s not restored and has mostly original paint. The grille is original,to give an idea of how well it`s survived. It has a black interior that looks new (and isn`t).It is totally detailed and looks as good as a fresh restoration.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
I would love to find me one just like that in a barn or somebody's garage. For real cheap.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
Yeah,it was in the Car Corral.....................$29,000.
When I say detailed,I mean DEE-tailed.Like,remove the gas tank, clean mating surfaces,re-gasket,re-install.Very little actually part replacement. But,Jerry goes over them.Basically,he takes the "age" out of on original. As in,nothing is worn out to need replacing on a low mile truck, but if the years affected a part it was dealt with.It would be a reliable turn-key rig.Not just still looking good sitting after all these years. This was definatelt meticulously cared for and garage kept. Check out a couple other trucks he was selling in the Events Coverage forum by msgross.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
I have some pics of it in the Event Coverage section, link below. It was a 40,000 mile truck too.... very nice. Jerry seems like a guy the does it right, no matter what the cost because that's the only way to do it. He was telling me about 16 GM doors that he is having fixed, blasted, professional body work and primer just cause the repos are of poor quality. Of course they will be for sale soon.... Good guy to deal with....

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
msgross, thanks for the pics. $1500 cabs, wow. Inflation is hitting everything except my pay check. Wonder if any sold for that price (or even close to that) ?
Ironically the three toys you picked up are the exact ones I have hanging on my wall at work.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
those guys that sell the cabs are overpriced but i'm sure they sell stuff, or they wouldn't come back.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
If I had a 2wd it would look like that, original, not bagged and dropped or slammed or whatever, I like that one.

Re: Original 2wd @ Carlisle
Great looking blazer.
I agree about the door thing, if you look real close the trim doesnt seem to line up either. Door couldve come off a blazer that saw more/less sun or more/less washing and waxing hence the shade difference. Sure does look good though....... |
