Looking for a BAD parchment seat cover...
To clarify, I'm looking for a parchment bench seat cover for my 72 - the cloth doesn't have to be in good shape (unless you have a nice blue plaid one), I will purchase new blue plaid material to fill it in. I don't know how feasible this is so I'm testing the waters at the moment.. I'm hoping the vinyl part of the cover will be fine and just need new inserts made..... I may also just use it for a pattern.... what'cha got?

As a person that does upholstery. Using old vinyl is not a good thing to do. It can be very brittle, hard to work with and plus you have the holes made in it from the original insert. It is best to just try and match up the vinyl and make a new seat cover all together.

I understand what you are saying Barry - just trying to see what I can get ahold of.. never know, might just find a nice, supple, original that someone sat on with a screwdriver in their pocket...(15 or 20x's) ...

Re: Looking for a BAD parchment seat cover...
neo, plaid can be bought at sms auto fabrics. when i bought mine they had all four colors and it was $85 a yard. they also built me a scroll insert, but the grain wasn't quite right and the tooling wasn't as deep as the factory.
