Wood floor ????’s
I just ordered the wood and strips and bolts to build my bed. I am definitely painting the inside of the bed wood and strips body color like GM did, but my question has to do with the bottom side of the boards and bed.
1. From what I can tell the cross members are black and maybe had some overspray of undercoating on them. Or were the fully coated with the undercoating? 2. What did GM do on the bottom side of the wood. Was it raw wood, primer, or coated with something else? Thanks ,Jason

I'm not sure about original, but I'd recommend some form of undercoating on the wood before you install it. It will look cleaner and counteracts a common point of failure for wood setups like th bottom of the truck and on several trailers I've worked on in the past.
