54 chevy pickup engine upgrade
hello all i need some help i have decided to replace my 235 inline6
with a 350 i ran into a problem the gearbox the manifolds will not work i have tried a few different kinds and but none are working i am in the process of moving the gearbox out about 1.5 inches out but before i do that i thought i would see if anyone has any ideas on this issue. thanks Oscar |

What motor mounts did you use when you swapped to the 350? What transmission (gear box) are you using? I used Sanderson cast iron headers (manifolds) with a ceramic coating so I didn't have clearance issues with my 350/700R4. Cool to see another '54 being done. Any pics?

I thought he was talking about his steering gear box. I used block hugger headers with a Heidts Mustang II. No clearance problems here. Send pictures showing your problem.

ok i am using a th350 tranny short tail trying to keep the steering intact
so i'm keeping the original box i have 2 manifolds and a shorty set of headers. any more info would be great thx my pics are to big i'll try to get smaller file size sorry |
