1 Year Ago Today...
I bought the GMC. 100 bucks.
It looked like this. So. After exactley one year. Redoing it twice, including a wreck with a tree. It's survived family issues, a girlfriend, and a year in college - all have come and past, and the truck has stayed. Today, it looks like this. It's far from perfect, but being built for around $1,000, including the cost of the truck and registration, it can be as far from perfect as it wants. I just wanted to thank you all for the support and advice I've received on here. The truck is far from done, if it will ever be done, as is my time here far from being done. So. That's where she stands now. -Sam.

Re: 1 Year Ago Today...
haha, thanks guys.
She's been good to me. I did everything myself, with help from my Parents. Which...is why it looks the way it does. haha. She's going to get torn down again this summer, and some better body work done on her. Jay, and the answer to your question is...NOPE! haha. The truck was kind of the reason she got the boot...but thats a whole 'nother story. Check out the build thread in my sig to really follow the epic adventure. haha. Thanks again all. -Sam.

Sam worked his butt off on that truck and as he said, as soon as it was finished the first time, it was wrecked pretty badly and he had to rebuild it again. His build thread is quite inspirational. I highly suggest checking it out!

Re: 1 Year Ago Today...
Thanks for the compliments guys. She needs some more work, but at least now she's running down the road instead of just sitting there, rusting away.
Now it can rust away while I drive the wheels off. Thanks again, without you guys, theres no doubt that it wouldn't of gotten this far. -Sam.

Re: 1 Year Ago Today...
Haha, thanks for the compliments all. She's far from being the prettiest, but I didn't build 'er for looks. She earns her keep, and still turns heads when I'm driving.
Yup. a 20/20 truck is just fine for me. This summer should be interesting...plans call for some more bodywork, another coat of Oliver Green, and possibly a new engine. Oh yes. It'll be fun. Thanks again all. -Sam.

Re: 1 Year Ago Today...
Haha, you should want to finish it over the summer, and enjoy the living hell out of it.
I have no regrets for doing my truck the way I did. Less than mediocre bodywork, tractor paint, etc etc. Because I would much rather enjoy driving a 20/20 truck, or even a 50/50 truck like mine, than having a show stopper sitting in the garage, collecting dust, or forever working on it, trying to get everything "just right". So. That's why she is the way she is. Thanks again, though. -Sam.
