Re: What Drop?????
The first one is bagged for sure, and I think the second one may be too.

Re: What Drop?????
This picture looks like it was taken before Dan put the bags on it. If this is true, what drop did he have on it here. I think someone said just 2 1/2" drop spindles up front and 5" coils out back..............does this sound right to everyone? I am trying to achieve the same stance on my 69' as in this picture of Dan's. Could someone help me out?

Re: What Drop?????
According to the post, that was a picture with the bags, 2 1/2" drop spindles, but no C-notch yet in the rear.

Re: What Drop?????
It won't be very drivable at that height. You will bottom out and scrap on everything. Why not bag it if thats the look you are after?

Re: What Drop?????
So my best guess would be to use 2 1/2" drop spindles up front with standard springs and 4" drop coils out back. I want to run 18x8's up front and 20x10's out back. Would I still need to relocate the shocks for this drop? Any help appreciated, I am trying to save some money by figuring out the stance by asking alot of questions before I buy the parts.

Re: What Drop?????
I think my truck is about as low as you want to go without bags.... 2 1/2 dropped spindls, 3 inch drop springs, 6 inch drop rear coils with C notch (best just to get a whole 4/6 kit from someone like ECE; find 3in drop springs & you'll need after market A upper Arm, like Brother's has, to get alignment back to spec). Not cheap but still cheaper than bags which would need some of these parts too.
Not sure what it would look like with 18/20s on it (255/60s & 275/60s X 15) Last edited by Mondo; 05-13-2008 at 05:36 AM. |

Re: What Drop?????
I went 2/4 and asked ECE how much to go to 4-6 from here.
1k-1300. OUCH. mostly cause it requires discs. Last edited by chrislehr; 05-13-2008 at 10:28 PM. |

Re: What Drop?????
Ok............here's what I have goin' on. I went out to my truck and took a few more pictures for yall to see. The truck was already at this stance when I bought it from the guy in Tennessee. I really don't know how much of a drop it already has and how to figure that out, so if anyone could let me know that would be great. I think that the truck has a great stance already, but the pictures of the rear end show that the coils need replacing, real bad. I'm just not sure what size drop coils that I need to replace them with to get the same stance it already has. Does that make sense? Anyway. The front looks like the coils were cut because nothing else on the front was replaced with new parts, i.e spindles, coils, shocks. So.....my question for the front is.......should I go ahead and replace the spindles with 2 1/2" drop spindles or leave everything the way it is and just upgrade all the bump stops, bushings, etc to polyurethane? I'm sure that would make a huge difference in the ride quality. OH, and should I go ahead and relocate the rear shocks and upgrade those as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated from yall. Thanks in advance.
