rear mount gas tank and airbags...
Want to verify location of the rear mount gas tank when swapped on a 68 LWB. I have a bag system ready to go in and the air tank will fit perfect at the very rear of the frame behind the rearmost crossmember. From what I have found this should still leave me room for the gas tank swap I plan on doing once the bag system is in.
The best pic I have found to tell me where the tank fits is the final pic in this thread... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ht=blazer+tank If anyone has any additional pics or can help me verify that an air tank will fit between the rearmost crossmember and the rear bumper (with room for the gas tank) that would be awesome. thanks |

Re: rear mount gas tank and airbags...
I had a 5 gallon tank mounted between the crossmemer and where the bumper would have been.
![]() I still had room for a Blazer tank as far as I know, but I didn't get that far.

Re: rear mount gas tank and airbags...
If the air tank fits behind the rear-most crossmember & a blazer tank fits in front of that crossmember & there should be no interference issues. I installed a blazer tank in my 68 & that c.member is in the stock location.

thanks guys, I was 99% sure from some searching I have done but wanted to be 100% before I started making the mount for the tank.
