Re: Spray on rust preventer????

I once asked a body shop what they did for the inside of the doors and that is what they told me they used. I don't know how long it lasts or any other info on it.

Look at the Rust Bullet product. www.rustbullet.com

It makes one hard shell on the metal that you are spraying and it is just about the same in the price lines.

Re: Spray on rust preventer????

I've used NAPA spray converter (called "Resore" I think), seems to work very well. Any trace of rust turns up black, the rest is clear. Cure for 24 hours, then top-coat, or don't.

I use it on the inside of doors and as a base coat before prime. Comes in rattle can, or brush on.

Re: Spray on rust preventer????

I'll share my secret with you. My friend has been using this in his restoration shop for years. http://www.gemrustkiller.com/ It was used on my '56 and i am using it on my son's 67.... It's run's about $12.00 a quart i believe, which comes in a plastic bottle with a sprayer you can attach. It is easily sprayed wherever needed.

Good luck with your Build i am now starting on the drivers side of my son's truck as well...

Looks like you have taken care of the rust by sandblasting, call PPG they make a spray on rust inhibitor you use under the primer.
