Antenna bezel

The antenna is loose on the cowl of my 1970 C10. I don't understand how it works to tighten it up or even remove the whole thing. Do I need to remove the cowl? Please help!.
thanks

Re: Antenna bezel

On my '69 there is a big nut at the top, just tighten it. You shouldn't have to remove the cowl...

Re: Antenna bezel

The nut is like 1 1/16 th inch, just tighten it some. The antennal either has two small feet or a plate that swivels to allow it into the hole and then swivels back to brace against the bottom of the cowl. If you need to take it out take the nut off and then push the anttenna down, swivel the feet/plate, then pull it out. Search fore pics of antennas and that will explain it better.
