Re: rally rims

if you are talking about the standard 8x15 chevy truck rallys. they use 5/16 bolts and screw to the wheel.

Yes I know they are Corvette rallys. Not sure what pat123 meant by "older style rallys". Guess he needs to clarify what he's looking for.

Re: rally rims

Its funny you posted this. I was test fitting a set of the newer style caps on my '69 C-10 today. I still have to buy the externally threaded lug nuts, so there just sitting up there with a tape helping hold them. They are not near as big as the factory caps, and make the rims look deeper. Here's some comparison pics. I'll get some of whole truck with them on there tomorrow.

I put 255x70's on the back but they are soon to goto the front and be replaced by 29x18.5 I'm having this rally and its twin get a make over which includes adding 6 more inchs of back space...I'll book mark this and take some pics of the build and finished product should be Kool

Re: rally rims

if you look on the back of those late model center caps, you will find plugs in holes that line right up with the holes in the rally wheels.

from the back side;

And since this is actually about rally wheels... here's the ones goin on my burb here soon... Painted a slightly darker shade of silver;

Re: rally rims

Does anyone have pics of the rally wheels with caps and rings and the steel rim painted to match the body color of your truck?

John Fabris' truck immediately comes to my mind when color matched rallys are mentioned.

Yes that is what I mean. I have set of 15 x 8 rallyes from an 87 Chev pickup and I was thinking of putting them on my truck ( I still like the ones on the truck now) just for a change. Using the attached pic of my truck do you guys and gals think the rims would look better painted pink or white ?

I'd go with the primary body color (I just can't make myself say "paint them pink"!) I do believe the rallys would look better than the aluminum ones IMO.

Pat most of these caps n rings are available on Ebay most everyday. Just look under Chevy truck wheels. And of course a GM dealer and a salvage yard.
