Question insurance rates

Up here in canada the insurance companies are at it again. Rates are expected to have a double digit increase shortly.
Based on the value of your truck, how much are you paying?
I understand it's cheaper if you insure it as a collectable but are the restrictions worth it?

I pay about 700 dollars every six months for liability. But thats becasue im seventeen, and i would say my truck is worth a good 5500. I have no idea about how much cheaper it is to insure it as a collectable.

I pay about $700 a year. That includes 3rd party legal liability $1,000,000 , collision $300 deductible and comprehensive rate group $300 deductible (includes $200 deduct for any claim for windshield damage caused by missiles or flying objects) so watch out Saddam. The agent actually asked me if I needed this much insurance. I guess he figured an oldie like mine is only worth the bare minimum. I set him straight.

I'm about the same Southpa, $700.00 ($400+us) The kicker is if its stolen they'll only reimburse me $1500.00 ($1000us) It's been appraised $12000.00. ($8000.00us...there seems to be a pattern here?!?!?!). Anyway i'll be putting it down for the winter ..guess i'll worry about it in the spring.
I'm envious of your age 87gmc but I'm sure not crazy about your rates !! lol

I pay $120/ year for collision, comp, and liability with no deductable! It's collector car insurance, but no mileage restrictions. Oh yeah, $13,000 declared value.

I was quoted about the same for collector ins. the drawback was...can't drive to work, shopping, vacation etc. That pretty much rules out every trip except to the gas pumps. Which i would still probably put on 10000 miles doing that! Did you negotiate for no milage restrictions or was that in the package?

Sure glad im not 17 yet! Yikes! You guys should yell R-A-P-E!

When I first got insurance, I paid $869 per year for liability. I though that was alot.

Now that im older, (alot) I get a multi car discount as I have 2 vehicles insured and a safe driver discount. For my truck im paying about $200 or less per year for liability.

I can't go with classic insurance as this is my daily driver.

I have mine insured for $8000 full coverage but I'm restricted to Shows and weekends. I pay $246 per year with Nationwide. It would be half that in a garage.

ackattack, who's your insurance carrier?
Folks, please post your carrier so others can call for a quote. I'm looking for insurance now and that would be HUGE help.

Thanks!
Jason
