Re: 5 speed tranny???
You could use a T-5 from a Camaro if you want to go to bucket seats. You could also replace the tailshaft housing from that same trans, with an S-10 tailshaft and keep your bench seat. In the former, you basically enlarge the mounting holes to 1/2", get a clutch kit for the same year Camaro, shorten your tailshaft and go. Obviously, the S-10 conversion is a little more work.

Re: 5 speed tranny???
You can use that or an NV series, or just about anything else you want. Novatech and Advance Adapters both offer bellhousings to do the swap and keep the mechanical clutch, or you can use the originals and modify the truck for a hydraulic clutch.

Re: 5 speed tranny???
I just put a nv4500 in my 67 c10 with the hydro clutch. It went real good no major problems.I started with a sm465 and removed it and the bell and all the linkage and the cross member then installed a 1967 12 inch clutch fly wheel with 1993 clutch disk and pressure plate.next 1993 bell and trans had to shorten my drive line about 6 inch's used the same u joint then mounted master and slave for hydro clutch and made new fittings and hose bled the line and done.I like it!! I had the hose made at a local hose shop with standard ends then made adapter fittings to go into the factory slave and master,pm me if you have ?s
