Is it worth $500 in parts???
For a few months now, I've been passing by a great project truck... but I don't need another project. I could use a number of parts off the truck though. The guy is dead set on $500. It is worth it?
1. 67 small window, nice cab inside, some rust around window, driver side rockers are good, passenger side needs replacing. 2. Solid doors, some rust at bottoms. Decent vent windows, different vent window latches than my 70. 3. LWB bed, right near perfect, nice floor, pitting but no holes, left side has 1 dent & 1 hole for accessory power. 4. Original AM radio. 5. ALmost new 3 row radiator on the seat. 6. Unknown manual gearbox. 7. Original spare tire carrier. 8. Original helper springs (coil rear). 9. 4.10 open rear. 10. Bench seat is decent, but narrow & not original. 11. Unknown non-running v8, likely the original 327. 12. manual brakes / steering 13. 31x10.5 mud tires (dryrotting) on nice 15" aluminum wheels 14. decent driver side front fender (a few small holes in the cup). Is it worth it? I'm really just after the helper springs, tire carrier, radiator, vent window, & a handful of small stuff.

Re: Is it worth $500 in parts???
Is it a shortbed or a longbed? Seems to me that it is worht it. Sounds like a lot of good parts. If I had space for it, I would buy it, and what you don't need, you could sell. Probably get most of your $500.00 back.

Re: Is it worth $500 in parts???
For what you want or need, why tie up $500. in a truck that you will have the labor to part out and then be stuck with a lot of the common junk. $100-150. is what you would need to buy just what you want. If you have room, time, and are in no rush to get your money back out of it--buy it. You can always pull the stuff of value and scrap the rest. Buying, hauling, stripping, selling, shipping, hauling for scraping---think it through.
