Yep order at noon today and it is here the next day by 2pm. Also I don't think summit charges for regular shipping but they do have a "Handling fee"

Check with both the price to your door because I think Jegs does not charge tax or something like that. So make a quick call to both and see how it goes.

I usually order from summit. They're closer to me, so I usually have my parts in 2 days.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I have ordered parts from both, and never had an issue. I'd say go with whoever has the best price when you include the S&H.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I have had pretty good luck with Jegs. Probably I'd go with whoever's prices are best for the particular parts you need.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

Summit has been great for me -- ordered headers, and a bunch of other stuff (oil pan, valve covers, other bulky things - not necessarily heavy)
no shipping fees, just a $10.00 handling charge, and the parts were here a day or two before i expected them

but i havent tried Jegs yet -- they may be comparable

I use Summit, they are just in Reno so I get overnight delivery without paying for it.

Never had issues with them

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I typically order from Summit, I like their web site better, plus I can put stuff in my shopping cart and they stay there. I've had some parts in there for 8 to 10 months... just waiting for when I need them. But on the other hand I have ordered from Jegs with no issues.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I'm pretty sure they both have the same "no shipping charge. amd $10 handling fee"

To me, it's a toss-up. Beyond price and availability, I usually order from the one who's gotten the least business from me lately.

I like Jegs because I do not have to pay tax, other than that they are both tops. Summit has a warehouse in Reno.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I like Summit. Much better websight, and they have "summit" bucks. Not sure if Jegs does anything like that. Plus, there only 5 minutes from my house.

Re: Summit Or Jegs

I drive past Jeg's at least 3-4 times a week. If they don't have something in stock at the store, they will have it sent down from the warehouse...or one of the other local stroes across town....same day if you are early enough, next day otherwise.
