EN*PN78,
do you have any better pics, so I can see that center cap? I like this truck, and since somebody included an older truck.

Re: Pics, lowered with ralleys?
Wow, that last van rally/truck rally combo looks great. Nailed the tires, too.
Can you tell me how the truck was lowered?

The wheels & tires were on my 68 Beater & recently were just sitting around taking up precious space.... I like the 18/20 combo that's been on the 74 since '03, but the 'old-school' look still works & it was time for a change.

Re: Pics, lowered with ralleys?
I like the 18/20 combo also. This is actually one of the first times I've seen staggered rallys and really liked it. I like how it erases that whole rear-end-is-too-narrow thing that our trucks have going on from the factory.
Is your rear bagged? How do you like it? I was thinking about one of those air over leaf setups like Ken has. I didn't realize anyone else had a setup like that.

Re: Pics, lowered with ralleys?
Quote:
I had some extra bags that were brand new just sitting on my shelf that weren't used for another project & didn't want to spend >$300 for an ART set-up. I took some measurements & found they were close in size for the height requirements. I PM'd Kevin & he had experienced good results w/his set-up (no increased stiffness) so I decided to give it a try. I fabbed the top bag plates out of .250 plate & welded them to the bolt-in c-sections. Once everything was bolted in, I stitched 1" beads on the outer edges of the c-section for added piece of mind. The bags are only bolted from the top & float on the bottom (using the original leaf spring pad on top of the axle housing to 'sit' on). I put allen head bolts in the bottom of the bag to center it within the leaf spring pad & keep them deflated (<5psi) when not in use. When I need the extra capacity, I verify the bag is centered on the pad & air them up (I have schraders mounted in some pre-existing holes near the tubs in the bed). Cheap but effective.....
