Re: need carb rebuilt

its truely a gravy job, just get a clean bench 1 gallon of carb clean at any auto parts store, your 1/4 inch set, a pic set, flathead #2 and a plastic pry set. you can order the kit at napa and go at it be sure to set your bases back to factory spec you can get the carb rebuild books at napa also. it will take about 1 hour

Re: need carb rebuilt

Cliffs is where I sent mine, have not gotten it back yet. They are suppose to be one of the best. They completly go through it and fix everything and use new parts and are also going to add bushings to the shafts. Should be getting it anytime. Alittle pricy but no worse than a ew carb.

Re: need carb rebuilt

that's what I need, re-bushed, new jets, and recalibrated etc.,. It came off a '77 425 and is going on the '71 500. I have the book, I figure by the time I buy new glasses (in which to see all the small pieces) the jewelry screwdriver set and a right thumb (hard to work with two left thumbs) it'll be cheaper and better from someone else.
