Check my web page. I paid over $600 for parts. Check the parts carefully. Check for rust. You will need a few additional parts for the conversion.

I paid 150 but there is some rust on the support and the grille has a screw hole cracked.

Re: 91 front end conversion

Thats a good price i think if there are all the parts you need, especially a good coresupport! That should take out a lot of guesswork!
I fabbed my face in the original ´81 coresupport because the one i got was a mess!
That was some good experience!

Re: 91 front end conversion

Why not check the truck magazines like Truckin or Streettrucks? i don't know which ones off the top of my head without having an issue in front of me, but theres a few companies that advertise a complete 1991 front end upgrade with NEW EVERYTHING! Headlights, bezels, grille, fenders, core support, hardware, everything. Their the same companies that sell the caddy escalade front end conversions. And I think the price is something like $500. Just a thought...

I like to hear more about these companies that offer the complete conversions. I have an 85 that has had some minor damage If I'm going to replace trim and grill I just as soon upgrade.

Re: 91 front end conversion

MONEYEATER - How come you didn't slap a GMC on the grille in lieu of the bowtie? You've got an 81 GMC, as do I. I'd like to do the 91 conversion, but I'd throw a GMC on there. Just asking.

Yes i have a GMC but i like the chevy grille better and that was the only one i could get! I think i´ll try to smooth it out and shave the emblem!
It still has the GMC tailgate but i think there are not really any differences, right? Both have chevy engines and the original 350 diesel was a pain in the back!

@ spr85gmc: good luck and a good set of ventwindows for 60 bucks can´t be wrong to have!

Re: 91 front end conversion

87Bob, I've been looking through some old Truckin's and Streettrucks and I still can't find the 91 conversion swap, but I swear I'm not lyin'! It's a complete update kit, and I thought it was from Stylin Concepts or Godfathers...
