Rear rope seal
Any old block buffs with rope seal installation knowledge?

I have done a few....what do you need?
Other than the "puller" tool, there really isn't much too doing this. |

Just wondering how much of the rope seal needs to run past the bearing cap or do you need to trim the seal to allow for clearance for torqueing.
The engine is a 283 on a engine stand for rebuild. How does the rope seal make a oil seal at the ends?
