Re: anybody know where this gauge cluster is from?

I think the panel is from covans. The gauges are from any summit, jegs type place.

Covan's classic. A buddy of mine bought a whole cluster from them for his 73' camaro and it looked like crap for the price, IMO. Cheaply made plastic and poor quality control.

Re: anybody know where this gauge cluster is from?

I have one in mine, the first one didn't fit ( the mount holes were off ), they shipped me another one ( told me to keep the first one ), and it fit perfect.
Got my gauges from Summitt. Autometer Ultralite II's and made my own wire harness.

There is a thread on here somewhere about a guy that was machining them from billett (two actually) one is so-so and one is awesome.... Maybe someone will post up a link, I didn't save it.

Re: anybody know where this gauge cluster is from?

I've been looking at the Covan's but have wondered if they are truly worth the selling price? Seems kinda pricey for a piece of ABS plastic ...

Any input fatboy?

p.s. I heard thru the grapevine they also made a glove box door cover to match the dash. So I mailed them and requested pics of the cover and they promptly emailed back and said they would send the pics right over, but have yet to receive any pics. That was almost a week ago.

I bought both dash & glovebox door here:

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...hlight=hubbard

& they look awesome. I've got some mods to do to make them unique, but they are truly works of art as they are.

Just my opinion, but it looks like a step down from the original and expensive on top of that.
