Rear leaf spring to rear coil conversion?
I was wondering if this was possible and how hard it is to do? there seems to be more aftermarket kits for the coil springs

Re: Rear leaf spring to rear coil conversion?
It was not a bad conversion. My question to you, is how is your parts availability? I was fortunate, I bought a coil spring setup from a swap meet from a board member. It included the trailing arms, original coils, lower shock brackets and coil cups with hardware. As I said in my 1st post, I went to 6 inch drop coils.
Things you'll need are: Trailing Arms Coil Springs Coil Cups and hardware U-Bolts Cross Member brackets (bought from a board member, (I think $20.00 plus shipping) Axle Saddle brackets (bought from ECE, $29.00 plus shipping) Lower Shock Brackets (I have a set if you want for free, you pay shipping) Track Bar to Frame Bracket ($20.00 plus shipping from a board member) Rear Track Bar (if you go stock, I may have one for you free, you pay shipping) The leaf and coil rear axles are different. If you can get a coil rear end that would be great. If not, you'll have to cut, grind and clean the axle so you can install the Axle Saddle brackets mentioned above. These brackets hold the entire setup to the rear end. As for the old leaf setup, my biggest dilema was getting the factory rivet off to remove the leafs and associated brackets. I know this is long winded, but if you need help just PM me. I'll try to get some pictures later today.
