Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

I have a ton of stuff I've had stacked on my shelves in my garage over several projects. Some of it - I have no idea how I got it.

I need to clean out the space, but I can't bring myself to throw a bunch of this stuff away without offering it to anyone in the Seattle area.

Obviously I'm not going to ship anything anywhere unless someone wants to buy something, but I have a hard time believing anything here is really worth all that much, so I'm restricting this to locals - unless you can make it easy for me. Please let me know by the 7th of July if you want any of this stuff. Otherwise, to the scrap pile it goes.

Salvageable and useful stuff includes:
  • 2bbl Cast Iron 327 intake (good shape - needs to go to the machine shop for a baking)
  • 2bbl Rockester 2Gv carburetor, spacer, air cleaner stud, and old air cleaner (carb needs rebuild; goes with the intake)
  • Short aluminum no-name-brand water pump - never used (sold to me via a member back when they were selling them in bulk) - GONE
  • Door panels -69-70 - Covered set - blue - GONE
  • Saddle door arm rests - 69-70
  • Transmission stuff (TH400 stock steel pan, dipstick, filter tubes, and mount spacer)
  • Long water pump alternator brackets (includes spacer for passenger side head and pump spacer)
  • Stock metal small block thermostat housing - GONE
  • Various brackets
    • Distributor hold down
    • plug wire brackets
    • engine lift brackets - olblue60@aol.com
  • Non AC Heater control cables - GONE
  • Orig. Door handles (Driver's missing the spring and stopper plate; Passenger's complete) - GONE

If no one steps up for this I would give some money and pay shipping, could use it on my coupe. Thanks, Chuck

Is that the new aluminum water pump that you and I talked about a few months ago? sorry I lost track of it...

If so then I am interested in it, tell me what you need out of it? Of course it would need shipped but I have my own fedex acct. you would just need to drop it off. If you could also throw in a few items like the intake thermostat housing and heater cables I could really use them.

Re: Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

Yep, it's the same one. I never had any solid takers, so I held onto it. If I remember right you asked for the brand name, and I told you I'd try to find out. I never got any answer from the member that sold it to me, and that's where the deal died...

Technically Hotrodhenryj is first in line since the previous thing didn't go anywhere. If he decides he doesn't want to deal with shipping, etc. I'll let you know. As for the thermostat housing and heater cables - I'd be willing to box it up and send it to you if all I have to do is drop it off...

Re: Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

Hey just so that I'm open about this I asked Hotrodhenryj for $15 + shipping for the aluminum short water pump since I'll have to do some leg work wait for payment, figure out the shipping, drop it off, etc. If that doesn't work out then msgross is next - same deal.

I'm putting names next to everything then updating the post again when stuff walks away or deals are final.

Re: Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

that's ok...

will those heater cables fit in a little padded envelope? i know you don't want to mess with shipping so I understand if you get rid of them locally.

Re: Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

Guys - I really don't have time/energy to mess around with shipping - unless it's super easy. Time is short, and I can't be running around trying to ship stuff. The water pump was easy because it was already boxed and ready to go. With the shipping paid for it almost shipped itself.

The smaller stuff - maybe if it fits in an envelope or something, but I can't be messing around shipping carburetors and door panels. I just don't have time.

olblue60@aol.com and msgross, I'll send you guys PM's.

88JRFAN might have just gotten lucky on the door panels and carb. I found boxes for them. So, if he decides he still wants them after the shipping costs they're his.

You mean driver's to passenger's sides? No. I forgot to put that on the post. I don't remember so I'll have to go out and check tomorrow and post it here.

Re: Free Stuff! Cleaning out garage...(Seattle)

Ok, the driver's side door handle is the one missing the stopper plate and spring. The passenger handle is just fine. They're original door handles. I have them sitting on an LMC box because I mounted replacements from LMC and put the originals away in the boxes they gave me.

Chances are you're after the driver's side. If you can cobble two together to make one handle you'll be in good shape with this one. It looks repairable to me if you have a plate and the spring.

I'll send you a PM
