I'm back. Finally bought another truck!

Well I finally bought another truck. Its not a 67-72 but I'm still happy about it.

74 GMC Jimmy 350/350 you know the standard stuff. All stock, Orignal owner. Runs great. Needs some work but I picked it up for 2,000. Factory tach. 30 gallon gas tank, Interior has no rips.

Has all the usual rust in the rockers and stuff, Only thing is the cowl is rusted pretty good, which I am concerned about. Floor and tailgate are solid, Windshield frame is pretty good.

I just plan on getting it in good running and driving shape to drive around and have some fun in.

74's are still uber sweet finds, nice acquisition.

More parts available for those years anyway, enjoy!

I think '75 was

Thats the main reason I bought it, plus I think 74 is the last year for smog exemption in CA

I picked it up, drove great at 70 on the freeway. Damn it felt good driving an old truck, they just feel right. I think redoing the brakes would be a good idea though.

I have a old goodwrench crate 350 with less than 3,000 miles on it I think I will throw some vortech heads on and drop a cam in. I think I remember a old article on how to get some good power out of them doing something similar for cheap.

It runs good enough now that I don't have to bother but I want to get the motor ready.

I also have a 14BFF and dana 44 3/4 front end I will end up swapping in eventually. Probably get one of those ORD lift kits 3-4" and just run some 33s on some rallies I have laying around. (I have a set of 8 lug rallies to for when I swap the 3/4 stuff.)

I think the driver side window track is messed up though, I couldn't get the window to roll back up. lol
