I am not sure if I undersand completely the differences between a C10 and C20. Can someone enlighten me on this? Please get down into the tiny little details if you can. I need to know as much as possible before going all in with a new old truck.

If you can give me the complete basics, I have no idea except 6 lug and 8 lug, and can't find a thread explaining it.

C-10 is the designation for 1/2 ton; which are 5 lug in 2wd and 6 lug in 4wd

C-20 is for 3/4 ton; which are all 8 lug as far as I know.

Anyone know more about the body mount differences between C10 and C20? Does the body sit higher on a C20?

The 3/4 ton has heavier springs so it might sit a little higher

of the 75? haha its quite a basket case besides the new engine trans, and misc parts. here is the link. have to sand the hood in "stages" it just hit 111 today... hot as hell.

Hows the heat over there? From your name I am going to assume Marine Corps. I really respect what you are doing for our country. (was in MCJROTC, if that means anything.)

Only probelm with keeping it is that I am not out of the house yet, just now going to be a senior in h.s., and my neighbors and parents don't exactly love our old trucks.

(and no garage space, or space in the front. Just about filled up with F***s except for my truck.)

ouch at least that's a family tradition your breaking with the Chevy haha. that's good to hear you did ROTC that's supposed to be good stuff. I never did it myself but I know it's supposed to be pretty good. It's freaking hot over here that's for sure. about 115-120 everyday in the summer and cold as heck in the winter

Yeah, just about everyone I know has F***s except for my grandpa he has this old beat up 64 C20, I think thats what started it all for me, of course he also has a 70 ranchero, 67 deville, 80's dodge, and a newer chrystler(couldnt make up his mind

)

oh and my uncles 68 camaro ss cemented it for me
